We take pride in our place within the community and work hard to help support others around us...How it works: All our community fund raising efforts will be collated each year and the total money raised allocated to meet three clear goals (see below).
Our community officers will coordinate the link between our community work and Community Fund, seeking to establish new ways to support those around us and build strong relationships with the community we call home. Over the years, we've raised many thousands of pounds for worthy causes and our Community Fund stands as our commitment to continue doing so into the future. Charities we've raised money for in the past include Cancer Research UK, Give us a Break 2010, Hospice at Home, Help the Homeless, West Cumberland Hospital, local church groups and many more. |
In the true spirit of Karate and as an ongoing commitment to give back to our community, E.S.K.K® Martial Arts & Fitness is dedicated to undertaking regular fund raising activities that are managed and coordinated by our appointed Community Officers.

The primary goals of our Community Fund are as follows...
- To support both local and national charities by offering donations to various causes selected by our membership as part of our annual Student of the Year Award ceremony.
- To support other good causes within both the local and wider community at the discretion of our Community Fund Committee. Examples of these may include personal health issues, family crises, youth development initiatives, personal safety awareness and other community based groups.
- To support the promotion, development and spirit of martial arts and expand the opportunity to learn, share and benefit from the very best in traditional karate training. This may include the provision of free demonstrations and taster sessions, visits to other dojo, the organisation of special seminars and workshops with esteemed teachers and the introduction of new initiatives in order to offer access to those who without support from our Community Fund, may find it beyond their reach.
How you can help: All donations to our Community Fund are gratefully received and you can be assured that every penny will be put to positive use. Donations need not be monetary - for instance, offering to assist with organising one of our community or charity events or even simply sharing our cause amongst family, friends or potential sponsors will all help to make this project an ongoing success.
We encourage all our members to vote for the charities and good causes we donate to as part of our student of the year ceremony and/or bring suggestions to the attention of the community officers at any time. All formal requests for support will be considered via the oversight of our Community Fund Committee.
