With the noticeable increase in local crime over the past few years, our practical self-defence and personal safety courses are designed to help raise general awareness and promote a simple but effective strategy that can be used to significantly reduce the chances of being 'chosen' as a victim of a violent offence.

Personal safety is not about fighting. It is primarily about becoming better aware of your surroundings, your place in society and being able to recognise the hallmarks of a potential threat early enough so that steps can be made to avoid or escape the situation where possible.

By being 'switched on' throughout the day, we empower ourselves with the possibility of many more options before being forced to resort to a physical response. Personal safety is about accepting and then eradicating your inherent weaknesses, enhancing your natural strength and successfully employing what are very often common sense principles that we've disregarded due to modern-day cultural conditioning. It is about listening to your instincts and making sensible steps to maximise safety.
During our dedicated self-defence workshops and courses, we will share with you a number of proven tools that will help you quickly develop a healthy level of awareness and hazard perception skills for effective threat avoidance. We will show you how to build strong 'layers of defence', give you lots of advice and tips that you can implement instantly in order to increase safety in and around your home, plus we'll empower you with a number of strategies to help increase confidence and self-esteem so that you may stand up, embrace your fears, say NO - and then mean it!

Even though its always best to focus on prevention, mistakes can of course be made and it's always possible that you may find yourself in a situation where you simply can't escape. Our training also acknowledges the fact that 'even monkeys fall from trees' and we will provide you with a number of simple yet highly effective strategies for dealing with a physical altercation.

We're also very realistic about our expectations too and certainly don't expect you turn you into the next world combat athlete within the space of only a few weeks! What we can offer you though, is a few proven tactics and techniques that can certainly help 'stack the deck' in your favour should the situation take a turn for the worse.

On top of all this, we take a look at UK self-defence law so that you may become informed about your rights to protect yourself and your family. We will also provide you with plenty of supplementary information, book/video recommendations and website links so that you can undertake your own research at home.
